License for WebUI, MQTT and Home Assistant
This license unlocks additional detailed data and extended functions for your compatible BMS. The most important basic values remain available even without a license. With an active license, further information and additional functions are unlocked—depending on what your BMS actually supports.
WebUI
Available without a license
Even without a license, the most important basic information is already available to you in the web interface. This includes, among other things:
- BMS connection status
- State of charge (SOC)
- Battery voltage
- Battery power
- Battery power
- Remaining capacity
- Remaining time / ETA
- Charging cycles
- Operating mode
- Warning and error messages
- Status of Charge MOS and Discharge MOS
Additionally with license
With an active license, the WebUI is extended to include additional detailed values and functions:
- Battery temperature
- Cell voltage difference
- Highest and lowest cell including cell number
- Balancing status
- Cell voltage diagram
- Set SOC via double-click, if supported by the BMS
- Charge MOS and Discharge MOS switching, if supported by the BMS.
MQTT and Home Assistant
Available without a license
Even without a license, the most important battery values will continue to be transmitted via MQTT. This means that the basic sensors remain available for normal operation in Home Assistant.
Typical unlicensed base assets:
- BMS connected / disconnected
- BMS type or device
- Battery voltage
- Battery power
- State of charge (SOC)
- Remaining capacity
- Remaining time / ETA
- Operating mode
- Charging allowed
- Unloading allowed
- Charging cycles
- Error message and status
Additionally with license
With an active license, additional values are provided via MQTT and — if Discovery is enabled — are also created in Home Assistant as additional entities:
- Battery temperature
- Maximum cell voltage
- Minimum cell voltage
- Cell voltage difference
- Number of the highest cell
- Number of the lowest cell
- Individual cell voltages as separate MQTT topics and Home Assistant sensors
- Individual BMS temperature sensors as separate MQTT topics and Home Assistant sensors, if provided by the BMS
Important instructions
A license only unlocks values and functions that your BMS actually provides or supports. Depending on the BMS model, firmware, or protocol, some data may differ or be unavailable. Write functions are only enabled if they are definitely supported by the respective BMS.
The ordered license is tied to the specific ESP used. Replacing the ESP requires a new license!
